A body has tragically been recovered from a Scots river in the search for a man who went missing four days ago in Dumfries and Galloway.
The discovery was made around 3.30pm on Tuesday, November, 18 at the River Esk, south of Skippers Bridge, in the Langholm area.
Formal identification is yet to take place, but the family of Gary McMorran, who was reported missing from Langholm on Saturday, November 15, has been made aware.
Police have said enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
Mr McMorran was last seen on Wauchope Street in Langholm, at 4.30pm on Saturday. The 63-year-old had not been seen or heard from for three days before an appeal was launched yesterday.
