NEW BERN, N.C. (WITN) - Crews with the City of New Bern are currently responding to a large power outage.

The City says around 1,977 homes and businesses are without power.

The outage stretches from Colony Estates into downtown and out past James City.

Crews are working to restore power.

At this time, a cause is not known.
