STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A man has been charged with malice murder after police found his 75-year-old mother stabbed to death in their Henry County home.

Desmond Riley, 49, was arrested on Tuesday after police found Dianna Cleveland dead inside the house at 109 Club Drive, according to Stockbridge police. Police said someone stabbed Cleveland multiple times, likely over the weekend.

Police cordoned off the house at around 10 p.m. Monday night, and detectives were seen going in and out of the residence until Tuesday morning.

Stockbridge police said they received a call about a suspicious man at the address. When officers arrived, they found Riley on the front lawn.
