A preliminary hearing Tuesday, Nov. 18, was forced to take a recess after a frustrated witness began yelling at the defense attorney when he repeatedly pressed for details about an alleged sexual assault she said she did not remember.

Assistant District Attorney Laura Pitchford issued multiple objections for badgering the witness and threatened to request a continuance for witness intimidation during the hearing.

Defense attorney Duke George Jr. argued the 16-year-old girl’s testimony should be stricken from court records and charges against his client dismissed because she does not remember what transpired in the alleged assault by his client, Derrian Alcorn, 27, of Buffalo Township.
