With preliminary data showing an increase in vehicle crashes on Coconino County’s roads over the past decade, nearly $1 million in grant funding is being directed toward addressing the growing issue.
During its Nov. 4 meeting, the Coconino County Board of Supervisors heard an update on the progress for the county's Comprehensive Safety Action Plan (SAP) and Local Road Safety Plans (LRSPs) from county engineer Nate Reisner and Mike Blankenship of Greenlight Traffic Engineering, the county’s consultant on the project.
