ROCK ISLAND CO., Ill. (KWQC) - Expect more patrols focused on seat belts, speed, distraction, and impairment so everyone gets home safely.
The Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office is cracking down on unsafe driving this holiday season. Joining forces with the Illinois State Police and local partners, deputies will increase enforcement to keep holiday travelers safe.
Officials said the “Click It or Ticket” and “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” enforcement campaigns are from Nov. 21 to Dec. 2.
Officers will be on the lookout for seat-belt violations, speeding, distracted driving and impaired driving, due to alcohol or drugs including cannabis, officials said.
