LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A man has been taken into custody in an August stabbing that killed a man.

Antoine Simmons, 34, of Louisville, was arrested by Louisville Metro Police Department homicide detectives. He is charged with one count of murder.

According to police, Simmons was wanted in the death of a man who was stabbed around 10 p.m. August 28 in the 9500 block of Johnsontown Way. The victim, who suffered multiple stab wounds, was taken to UofL Hospital for treatment, but died several hours later from his injuries.

Simmons was indicted by a grand jury in the case, He was arrested without incident on November 18 and booked into Louisville Metro Corrections. In addition to murder, Simmons was also being sought on charges in other cases.
