CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A popular taco shop has temporarily closed all of three of its restaurants in Charlotte due to the Border Patrol operation within the city.
Tacos el Nevado announced the closure in a social media on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
In the video, a restaurant spokesman explicitly said the temporary closure was related to “the presence of ICE and CBP,” and “not wanting to take risks.”
“We wish you the best vibes,” the spokesman said in the 28-second video. “Be careful in this situation that many of us are going through. Thanks from Taco El Nevado. We hope to serve you our delicious dishes soon.”
Tacos el Nevado has three restaurants in Charlotte -- one on Central Avenue, another on South Boulevard, and a third on West Arrowood Road. The taco shop is popular enough that it has
