A Syracuse man has won big, claiming the $17 million New York Lotto jackpot drawn on July 23, lottery officials announced.

Larry Hartig, who matched the first six numbers drawn, opted to receive the cash value of the annuitized jackpot. The winning numbers were: 06, 08, 22, 29, 37 and 50.

After required withholdings, Hartig received a one-time lump sum payment of $5,770,232, according to officials.

The winning ticket was purchased at Polge Wine & Liquors, located at 434 West Seneca Turnpike in Syracuse.

The New York Lotto game generated $53.6 million in total sales during fiscal year 2024-2025. School districts in Onondaga County, where Syracuse is located, received $129.8 million in Lottery Aid to Education funds during the same period.
