FLINT, MI – Margaret Wheeler was at home sleeping on Aug. 24 when someone allegedly kicked down her back door and stole her keys, tablet and gift cards from her purse.
Wheeler woke up, realized her back door was open, found out that her belongings were missing, and went to church before calling the police that afternoon.
Wheeler testified as such during a preliminary examination for Rovon Sanders before Genesee County District Court Judge Jeffrey Clothier on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
Her experience in Thetford Township echoed those of five other witnesses who testified in the Nov. 18 hearing. The examination was adjourned for additional witnesses to testify at a later date.
