SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is slated to soon reopen a bridge that closed suddenly in October.
The State Route 82 bridge between Sagamore Hills and Brecksville will tentatively reopen in mid-to-late December.
That’s according to Sagamore Hills police and trustees.
ODOT closed the bridge without notice on Oct. 14 after an inspection uncovered structural integrity concerns.
Back when it happened, department spokesperson Matt Bruning said the 95-year-old bridge was temporarily shut down out of an abundance of caution.
Crews have been making repairs in the time since then.
19 News will keep you updated on the reopening timeline if anything changes.
