RAMAPO – Police in the Town of Ramapo have arrested a 47-year-old Spring Valley man on charges of attempted murder in connection with the late Tuesday night attack on a woman in Hillcrest.
The woman was approached by a man who threatened her with a knife and robbed her before fleeing.
She sustained serious injuries and was treated at a local hospital where police said she was reported in stable condition.
On Wednesday, police arrested Emmanuel Michel on the attempted murder charge as well as assault, robbery, stalking, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property.
The case remains under investigation.
