JOHNSON COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) - Construction is far from over on the stretch of I-380 between Swan Lake Road to 120th Street in Johnson County.

The off-ramps at the Shueyville and Swisher exit are being changed into roundabouts.

The roundabouts are part of the Iowa Department of Transportation’s $134 million project to add an extra lane of traffic in both directions.

The Iowa DOT said the single roundabouts will improve access to 120th street.

Right off the Shueyville exit at the interchange is Iowa River Outdoors, a fishing and hunting gear store.

The owner said he expects the construction to have an impact on his business.

“I’m going to have a lot of traffic in and out of here during my peak seasons,” Todd Young said. “The road construction going on right next to me may make things
