SWAIN COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - The North Carolina Highway Patrol reports a driver said a bald eagle dropped a cat through her windshield.

NCHP said the incident happened on US 74 in Swain County at 8:17 a.m.

The driver was not injured, but the driver said the cat is dead, according to troopers.
