SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
A man impersonating an ICE officer was arrested at Sacramento State after hitting a student with his SUV, leaving the campus community frustrated by the university's silence on the matter.
Sacramento State police reported that the suspect, 19-year-old Omar Maadarani, was driving a white SUV with police lights and sirens, yelling "ICE raid" before hitting a student inside the garage.
The student is reportedly OK.
Maadarani was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon while operating a motor vehicle and impersonating a peace officer. It has not been confirmed if he is a student at Sacramento State. He was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on Nov. 10.
