A semi-trailer loaded with food could not have come at a better time for the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri , president and CEO Lindsay Young Lopez said Wednesday morning, Nov. 19.

The donation was made by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in coordination with America 250 and JustServe , a church program. The food bank was among the first to receive a truckload of food. The church is donating 250 truckloads across the U.S. under the JustServe and America 250 banner. Food banks in Missouri, Oregon, Michigan, Arkansas and Texas all received shipments Nov. 19 and shipments are planned for all other states as well throughout the next year.
