KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A convicted felon was sentenced to nearly 10 years in prison for hiding a gun in a Kansas City store.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri says Shannon J. Price , 30, was previously convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm after a July 2023 incident.

Now, prosecutors say he will spend nearly a decade in prison after he put innocent bystanders at risk.

On July 28, 2023, court documents indicated that law enforcement officials were investigating a stolen vehicle ring when they spotted Price in a stolen car.
