LEBANON, Tenn. (WSMV) - A young teenager is facing charges after he was caught driving a stolen car in Lebanon on Wednesday, according to authorities.
The Lebanon Police Department reported on Wednesday night that its officers were alerted by the city’s license plate reading cameras to a stolen car out of Nashville.
Officers located the stolen Hyundai Sonata at Walmart on Cumberland Street and attempted a traffic stop, according to the report.
The driver sped away and led officers on a brief pursuit that ended on I-40 West near the I-840 ramp, police said.
The LPD reported that the driver was 14-years-old and his passenger was also a juvenile.
The young driver is facing multiple charges.
