SAN ANTONIO — A Motel 6 on the northwest-side turned into the center of a major law-enforcement operation late Wednesday night after San Antonio police and SWAT units executed a raid tied to a downtown kidnapping and since-discontinued CLEAR Alert.

The raid happened just before 11 p.m. at the motel off Wurzbach Road and I-10. Police have not yet released official details, but a tip to KENS 5 indicated officers were searching for a suspected kidnapper and victim inside one of the rooms.

Video from the scene shows dozens of officers surrounding the motel, SWAT vehicles staged in the parking lot and an ambulance positioned nearby. Snipers were also seen climbing onto the roof of the adjacent Wendy’s as teams prepared to breach the room.
