BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio — Ben Mehendale and Steven Skaljac have seen plenty at Brecksville-Broadview Heights.
Mehendale came up as a promising 6-foot-8 center, while Skaljac watched his older brothers star for the Bees. Both are now the veteran leaders for the Bees, who are coming off a regional semifinal run in the OHSA Division II boys basketball tournament after finishing 18-7.
“Steven and Ben have taken it to the next level,” coach Steve Mehalik said Wednesday after a four-team scrimmage with Bedford, Cleveland Heights and Elyria. “I can’t complain. I got two guys that any coach in our conference would kill for.”
