GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Alachua County Sheriff’s deputies say they arrested a man after he pulled out an AR pistol during a road rage incident in Gainesville on Wednesday.
Deputies say the man, 27-year-old Ja’len Parks, threw a coffee cup out of his window at another driver on NW 39th Avenue Wednesday evening.
The victim pulled up next to Parks’ car to ask why the cup was thrown and that’s when Parks pulled out the gun from his waist, pointing it at the victim, according to the report.
The victim captured the tag numbers on Parks’ vehicle and called 911.
Deputies later located Parks driving in the area of SW 186th Street and Newberry Road.
He was pulled over, complied and was later arrested in connection with the road rage incident.
