WAYNESBORO, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Burke County Department of Family and Children Services held a drive-thru diaper giveaway event Thursday morning to provide parents with essential baby supplies.

Cars lined up outside the agency’s building as parents received blankets, diaper bags, wipes, formula and other baby items during the Diaper Day event.

The giveaway was conducted in partnership with the Georgia Department of Human Services and other local and state agencies.

Medical Associates Plus participated in the event as a community partner. The organization’s community outreach manager said they would like to continue hosting similar events and encouraged families to contact them for future opportunities.
