Intoxicated man banned from American Legion post: Berea blotter

An intoxicated Berea man, 59, was banned from Albert E. Baesel American Legion Post 91 Nov. 19 after he yelled at customers in the bar.

The man had entered the post at about 4:30 p.m. He told the bar manager he wanted to speak to her. She refused and he lost his temper.

He left only after she threatened to call police.

When police arrived, the man was outside the post. He told police he was upset with how the American Legion was being run. He was obviously drunk.

The manager told police that about one year ago, the man threatened her life and put his hands on her.

She said he threatened to kill everyone in the bar with an AR-15 rifle -- an incident that was never reported to police.
