CORCORAN, Calif. (KFSN) -- An investigation is underway after police say a teenager was shot and killed in Corcoran.
Authorities say it happened on Tuesday at about 9:45 p.m. on Patterson near Dairy Avenue.
When police arrived, they found a 16-year-old with a gunshot wound in the chest area.
He was declared dead at the scene.
Authorities are still investigating what led up to the incident.
While there's no official identification, a GoFundMe page created by his parents identifies the teen as "Angel" and says he turned 16 in October.
No suspect information has been released.
Anyone with more information is asked to contact the Corcoran Police Department.
