FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Longtime Action News anchor Warren Armstrong announced Thursday that he is dialing back his schedule and plans to retire in November 2026, capping more than four decades in broadcasting.
Armstrong shared the news with his ABC30 colleagues and viewers, saying he will continue to anchor the 5 and 6 p.m. newscasts but will step away from the 11 p.m. show. His final late newscast is set for early January.
"I'm looking forward to finally spending all my evenings with my wife and family," Armstrong said. "After all these years sneaking into my own house late at night because everyone else was sound asleep, it's time."
Armstrong has been a familiar face on Action News for 25 years, anchoring Live at Five, Live at Six and Live at Eleven.
