It was announced today that Gary 'Mani' Mounsfield died at the age of 63 after a decades long music career including being part of Stone Roses

Gary 'Mani' Mounfield's neighbours have spoken out after the music star's sudden death today. It was announced today that the musician had died at the age of 63.

The Stone Roses bass player was best known for his music career where he played in Stone Roses and Primal Scream. His neighbours have now spoken about the star and what he was like away from the spotlight.

The shock death came just two years after his wife also passed away. It was reported that emergency services were called to a private address in Heaton Moor, Stockport which is thought to have been Mani's address.
