Whether to turn off the heating if you're going out is the big question. And most would assume it's cheaper to turn it off when you're not in or asleep. ‌

But a plumber has waded into the age-old debate and has given his verdict on the matter, reports the Mirror. ‌

Plumbing expert David Doran from Blackstone Plumbing and Heating Ltd said if you're planning to be away or want to cut heating costs during winter, it's advisable not to turn the heating off entirely.
