BENTON, La. – A Haughton man was arrested Tuesday following a multi-agency investigation into suspected child sexual abuse.
Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives and the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office of Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Christopher McFarland, 34, on the following charges:
• Pornography involving juveniles (3 counts)
• Computer-aided solicitation of a minor
• Human trafficking
BPSO detectives received a cyber tip about the suspected activity and identified McFarland as a suspect. Evidence gathered in the investigation allegedly showed McFarland shared and received sexual images of children and engaged in sexually explicit conversations with minors online.
McFarland was located Wednesday with the help of Homeland Security agents, the U.S.
