COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - United Way partners with Harrison School District 2 to form an Adopt a Family program, and about 50 families on the list have not been adopted for this holiday season.
The website to donate has family profiles to read describing what the family is like, why they’re in need, and who to shop for. A lot of wish lists include household basics like bedding and kitchen items. Several list winter coats and baby items.
“It’s very eye-opening,” Bobby Gomez said with United Way. “Every family is very unique just like every person out in the world. These families really do not ask for much.”
