GREENVILLE, S.C. —

Greenville County has announced plans to repave more than 110 roads next year, with funding sourced from restructured fee-in-lieu-of-tax payments.

About 34 miles of roads in Greenville County are scheduled to be repaved in 2026. Arcadia Drive, home to Greenlink's new bus center and several businesses, is among the roads in need of repair due to its rough surface and potholes.

"We come up with a list, and we've taken not only to say the worst roads, but also, some of the roads that are medium roads," Council Member Curt McGahhey said. "These are going to be fixed in four or five years, 10 years maybe."

McGahhey said historically, the county spent $8 million on roads, but now $34 million is being allocated from its budget through FILOT payments.
