A wrongly targeted Western Sydney couple have endured two frightening shootings in 48 hours.
Police are appealing for public assistance and a manhunt is underway after a second shooting in Bossley Park early Friday morning.
The first incident unfolded just before midnight on Wednesday when a single shot was fired at a caravan outside a home on Aberdeen Street.
About 6:30am on Friday, officers were called back to the same address following reports of a second shooting.
Officers from Fairfield City Police arrived to find multiple bullets sprayed into the home.
An Audi sedan was found abandoned after it crashed at a nearby intersection.
Inside the vehicle, officers located an automatic firearm which was seized for forensic testing.
No injuries occurred during the violent attack.
