OLINVILLE, The Bronx (WABC) -- An infant was abandoned in a trash can in front of a Bronx home in Olinville, with the umbilical cord still attached.
The newborn was found in front of an apartment door on East 223rd Street around 12 p.m. on Wednesday.
A 71-year-old woman made the discovery and called 911.
Police responded and rushed the infant in their patrol cruiser to Montefiore Medical Center in stable condition.
New video shows an officer holding the infant while getting into the passenger side of the cruiser.
Claudette Tinnin, 28, was charged with reckless endangerment, abandonment of a child and acting in a manner injurious to a child.
Police say she lives about a block away from the where the baby was found.
