A group of people have been criticised online after racking up an eye-watering £88,000 bill at an exclusive nightclub in Manchester city centre.

Continental Club in Manchester, located on South King Street near Deansgate in the city centre, celebrated the jaw-dropping bill by sharing the receipt on social media, hailing it as 'record breaking'.

The nightclub wrote on Instagram: "RECORD BROKEN. Some come to sip…others come to set records. The biggest table spend to EVER take place in a club in Manchester."

Items included several Dom Perignon Rosé Magnum for £2,000 a pop, Hendricks costing £200 each, Hennessy XO at £750 and Redbulls listed as £54. Content cannot be displayed without consent
