This year's Strictly Come Dancing stars have been spotted in Blackpool ahead of the show’s heralded week in the seaside resort.

The BBC dancing competition has featured a Blackpool week each year since 2009, asides from 2020. The tradition first started when the Blackpool Tower Ballroom was used for the show back when it used the same London studio as Children in Need in 2004 and needed to relocate for the fundraiser.

Over the years, the Blackpool venue has hosted a number of memorable moments, including Ed Balls' 'Great Balls of Fire' Jive routine, Fleur East and Vito Coppola's perfect scoring Destiny's Child medley and, of course, Anton DuBeke’s infamous ‘floor drag’ of Ann Widdecomme in canary yellow.
