Air pollution in Delhi-NCR continues to worsen. On Thursday, Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) reached 506, placing it in the dangerous category.

In the live global ranking released by international air-quality monitoring agency IQ Air, Delhi was recorded as the most polluted city in the world.

In response to the deteriorating air quality, the Delhi government has banned all sports activities in schools for November and December.

The decision follows an earlier observation by the Supreme Court on October 18, which stated that schools in Delhi should not hold sports functions during periods of severe pollution.
