The Nehru Archive Live also features many pictures of the former PM from his childhood to after independence

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday praised the writings of India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, calling them "not just history, but a record of India’s evolving thought" and a "powerful compass" for anyone seeking to understand the country’s democratic journey.

His remarks came as the selected works of Jawaharlal Nehru were fully digitised and made available online, comprising a complete set of 100 volumes.

The collection includes around 35,000 documents and nearly 3,000 illustrations, all freely downloadable.

From Volume 44 onwards, starting September 1958, Nehru’s speeches are accessible in their original Hindi alongside English translations.
