A tourist in Menorca has died after a car plunged into the sea as it drove off a ferry.
The man, aged 67, was in a vehicle which witnesses said "appeared to deviate" and fell off the side of the road by the ferry into the freezing water, sparking a rescue mission by divers. Police have since launched an investigation into his death, and the port authority will determine why the car failed to stop at the edge of the docks. Ports de les Illes - the company that manages the facility - confirmed the ramps between the ship and the dock were in perfect condition.
The tourist , whose nationality has not yet been revealed, was recovered from the water by divers who performed resuscitation for more than half an hour without success. He was found to be in cardiac arrest and was sadly pronoun
