Snowfall and heavy rain has been forecast to arrive in parts of the Midlands next week.

Weather charts are showing a large multi-coloured band passing over North Wales and the Midlands on Saturday, November 29.

At midnight on that day, a band of purple - which indicates snow - is centred over North Wales and into the fringes of Shropshire, according to WX Charts.

Areas of Snowdonia could see 7.5cm of snow being dumped per hour while in Oswestry up to 5cm could fall.

Meanwhile shades of orange, yellow and green indicate the arrival of heavy rain - with parts of Shropshire set for 13.2mm falling every hour.
