LONDON, Ky. (WYMT) - A deputy from the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office observed a black Toyota Camry accelerating quickly out of a red light intersection at KY 192 and Barbourville Road in London on Nov. 19.
After activating emergency lights, the vehicle continued driving a considerable distance before finally pulling into a business parking lot.
During the traffic stop, the deputy noticed that the driver, Justin D. Trosper, 27, from Lily, KY, had glassy eyes, slurred speech, and emitted an odor of alcohol from his breath.
The investigation determined that Trosper was under the influence of alcohol.
He was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence (first offense) and improper start from a parked position.
Trosper was taken to the Laurel County Correctional Center.
