A church choir leader who is a popular Macomb County gospel singer was indicted Thursday and accused of sexually exploiting a teenage girl following a child pornography investigation that surfaced three months ago.

Washington Township resident Thomas Durham, 72, a former member of the well-known New Destiny Quartet, faces 15-30 years in federal prison if convicted of the exploitation charge. The indictment raises the legal stakes for Durham, who already was charged with receiving and possessing pornographic images of a 17-year-old female.
