WASHINGTON DC (WFSB) - One of Connecticut’s senators unleashed a fiery response to social media posts in which the president said members of Congress should be hanged.
Sen. Chris Murphy asked people of influence in the country to “pick a [expletive] side.”
“The president of the United States just called for members of Congress to be executed,” Murphy said in a post on X. “This is not normal. We cannot allow this to feel normal.”
President Donald Trump on Thursday accused half a dozen Democratic lawmakers of sedition “punishable by death.”
