The brutal cold snap, which saw temperatures across the UK plummet to below zero, may soon to be coming to an end after the latest weather charts show temperatures soaring back up to the teens. Weather forecasts from WX Charts now show models that point to an end to the snow and ice that has taken over parts of the UK this week, with December bringing on some much milder conditions.
The model suggests that temperatures in parts of southern England could rise to 14C as many Brits put their coats, scarves and woolly hats back into the cupboard. This turnaround is in stark contrast to this week's wintry weather. Widespread snowfall and temperatures far below zero led to a string of Met Office snow and ice warnings hitting regions around the UK.
