LEXINGTON, S.C. (WIS) - A Lexington County man was sentenced to decades in prison after pleading guilty to sex crimes involving a minor.

The 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office said 39-year-old Alan Rojas Santos pleaded guilty on Nov. 17 to first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.

Prosecutors said Santos’s charge was linked to an investigation that began after Lexington County deputies responded to a report of a sexual assault involving a child in October 2024.

The victim told investigators that Santos began sexually abusing them when they were eight years old, with the abuse lasting several years. Prosecutors also said Santos ultimately confessed.
