A large contingent of Colonial Road Runners traveled to Richmond on Nov. 15 and standout performances were highlighted by Ryan McCracken, Sean Bush and Aimee Gianoukos in the 48th annual Richmond Marathon, Scott Ickes in the Half Marathon and Laura Labuschaigne and Jacob Lohr in the 8K.
All three races were sold out for the first time in race history, with 6,200 participants in the marathon, 10,000 in the half marathon and 5,000 in the 8K. Registration closed in October. The race is organized by the Richmond Sports Backers.
Winning the marathon were Sam Montclair, 34, of Cary, N.C. in 2:20:17, and Casey Mulroy, 29, of Church Hill (2:44:39). The half marathon winners were Keith Carlson, 28, of Washington, D.C. (1:06:26) and Adelyn Fairley, 24,
