Greggs has opened a new shop in a Kent town, creating 12 jobs. The bakery giant known for cheap snacks, including sausage rolls, opened this week in the High Street in Deal.

In the run up to opening, Greggs has been hiring for its workforce. The branch is in the former NatWest bank and will have outdoor seating.

It will stock the usual food and drink and also its Christmas menu. It will be open 12 hours a day, from 6am to 6pm every day.

Greggs retail operations director Gillian Long said: "Our new shop in Deal High Street has brought 12 new jobs to the local area, as well as providing customers with a modern, convenient new place to experience their Greggs favourites."
