A Rehoboth man has been indicted for first-degree murder after allegedly stabbing his pregnant girlfriend in August and burying her body, according to court records.
Gregory Groom, 22, had previously been arraigned in Taunton District Court, where he pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and assault and battery on a pregnant victim in connection with the death of Kylee Monteiro, 18.
The new indictment also charges Groom with intimidating a witness. He has been held without bail since his arraignment.
A lawyer representing Groom declined to comment.
Prosecutors allege that on or about Aug. 7, Groom killed Monteiro by stabbing her twice in the neck and once in the chest with a kitchen knife.
