One man is dead after an altercation with police at the St. Louis Lambert International Airport.
According to the St. Louis County Police Department , airport police officers were doing routine security checks in a terminal around 1 a.m. Friday when they encountered a man armed with a knife. Advertisement
The man reportedly refused to drop the knife, leading one officer to shock him with a Taser.
He then continued to advance toward officers, and another officer shot him.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
No officers were injured in the incident. The officers involved had been with the airport police unit for six months and one year, respectively. Both have prior law enforcement experience, police said.
