A man is accused of secretly recording a woman and a 10-year-old child in his bathroom, authorities announced on Friday, Nov. 21.

Thomas Matthew Bradley, 42,  of West Hempfield Township, was charged after investigators uncovered nude images and videos of the victims at his home in the 3500 block of Marietta Avenue, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney's office. The recordings showed the juvenile in the shower, authorities explained.

Bradley was charged with photographing a sex act, two counts of sexual abuse of children, unlawful contact with a minor, criminal use of a communication facility, corruption of minors, and invasion of privacy, state police said.

Investigators began looking into Bradley in February after Homeland Security Investigations’ Cyber Crimes Center reported that two unidentified victims — including a juvenile — were secretly filmed on hidden cameras placed in a bathroom, according to the release. Agents believed the victims lived in the Harrisburg or York regions.

Facial recognition technology later helped trace the pair to the Lancaster area. Police identified them as a mother and daughter, who told investigators they had no idea they were being filmed. They also confirmed that the bathroom in the images belonged to Bradley.

A search warrant was executed at Bradley’s home on Thursday morning, resulting in the seizure of a computer containing the images. State police said additional videos depicting other nude children being sexually abused were also found.

In a preliminary arraignment on Thursday morning, Judge Miles Bixler set Bradley’s bail at $25,000. He was taken to Lancaster County Prison after being unable to post that amount.

Trooper Brian Kundick filed the charges. Assistant District Attorney Fritz Haverstick will prosecute the case.
