Search underway for man accused of killing his wife at their Gardner home in 2023

State Police are searching for a man accused of murdering his wife at their Gardner home in October 2023, authorities said Thursday.

Tim McGuirk, a spokesperson for the State Police, confirmed that a search was underway for Aaron M. Pennington, an US Air Force veteran and former Raytheon employee who has been missing since he allegedly killed his wife on Oct. 22, 2023, in the home they lived in with their four young children.

McGuirk said authorities wanted to check the area again for evidence or clues.

He said dog units and the State Police Air Wing were involved in the search, along with the agency’s Special Emergency Response Team.
