One of the step-brothers of Stone Roses legend Gary 'Mani' Mounfield has spoken of his heartbreak. Tributes continue to pour in for the Crumpsall-born musician following his death aged 63.
The iconic bass player - who lived in Heaton Moor, Stockport - rose to fame after joining the seminal outfit in the 1980s. Playing on both the Stone Roses' albums, Mani was in the band until it disbanded in 1996, later joining Primal Scream.
In 2011, he announced he had left Bobby Gillespie's clan to reform the Roses. Massive reunion shows followed at Heaton Park in 2012. The lads went on to perform at festivals across the UK and the world before playing The Etihad and Madison Square Garden in the US in 2016.
